-A CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN POST FALLS -
About Faithful Five

Faithful Five launched a church in Tacoma April 2019, d.b.a. "Tacoma Faith." We began in our living room. By September 2019 we had moved into a church building near Titlow Park. We saw growth. From the fall of 2019 to the spring of 2020 all our activities doubled in size.
In the Roman empire, Emperor Nero shut down the church. In the Soviet Union, Stalin did. In the USA, 2020, Governor Inslee shut down the churches in Washington State. Churches were deemed non-essential, while pot shops and casinos were deemed essential. It became practically impossible for us to meet the way we used to.
We sought God's face for guidance. We were to relocate our family and ministry to Post Falls, ID, where Christians are allowed to worship. For practical purposes, Faithful Five has relocated to Spokane, WA. Faithful Five remains active in preaching of the gospel, evangelism, missions, Bible translation, etc. We meet weekly for worship, prayer, Bible-study, and evangelism on Fridays, 5-7 pm, at 1902 E. First Ave, Spokane, WA, as well as in homes and on the street witnessing throughout the week.
Faithful Five may ordain ministers, support ministers financially, support evangelistic and missionary efforts, such as street evangelism or mission trips. Ministers that Faithful Five support preach the gospel and conduct baptisms, communions, weddings, funerals, street evangelism, street church, Bible-studies, Bible-translations, mission trips, etc. We see lives transformed, set free from drugs, and come to Jesus every week.

Ordained Ministers of Faithful Five
Dan Hegelund, Chief Visionary Officer & Pastor
Dan is the founding pastor of Faithful Five, commissioned by the church board and ordained as a minister. He earned his Master of Science from Uppsala University in Sweden, bringing a European theological perspective shaped by both Reformed and Catholic traditions.
Before planting Faithful Five in Post Falls, Idaho, Dan and his wife Mary established Tacoma Faith Church in 2019 in Tacoma, Washington, beginning in their living room. That experience taught them the power of radical simplicity and genuine Christian community.
Dan's vision drives the three streams of Faithful Five's ministry: reaching the homeless through the Jesus People Coffee House in Spokane, raising up the next generation through River Tech School, and — as property is acquired — rebuilding a gathered church community with Sunday worship and sacramental life.
Mary Hegelund, Co-Pastor & School Founder
Mary is the co-pastor of Faithful Five and founder of River Tech School, where she serves as Coordinator and Younger Elementary School Director. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education from Uppsala University in Sweden.
Mary is perhaps not as visible to the crowds as Dan, but no less vital to the life and direction of this church. Her steady leadership shapes how we care for the poor, educate children with Christian conviction, and build sustainable ministry structures. The school — now serving approximately 80 students from 60 families — is a direct expression of her heart to raise up champions in the faith.
